THE ROLE – Commercial Intern

Hegen offers analytical and detail-oriented Commercial Intern the opportunity to demonstrate your critical thinking and acquire business acumen from Day One as the Commercial Intern that support the local, international and partnerships in the Commercial Department. By taking the wheel, the Commercial Intern is proactive in his/her learning, maximising his/her exposure that Hegen has to offer. Your collaborative and analytical skills will contribute effectively to Hegen.


  • Provide dependable support to the Commercial Department focusing on online and offline retail channels, and international business pillar.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to achieve the commercial objectives for 2023 by assisting with administrative, logistical and executional work
  • Engage both internal and external stakeholders by exercising professional communication skills and documenting information for the team
  • Conduct market and industry research as required by the Commercial Team to identify and explore possibilities for the Commercial Department
  • Drive the planning of Commercial events such as Distributor’s Summit, Mummy’s Market Baby Fair and other Trade Marketing events
  • Understand the e-commerce tools / technologies and other Commercial Team technological solutions to operate the systems
  • Manage all customer Purchase Requisition and ensure Purchase Orders are placed accurately with the factory, including changes and adjustments to the POs
  • Issuance of Proforma invoice, packing list, contract agreements for customer orders
  • Coordinate all outgoing shipments with factory to ensure on-time delivery and that production capacity is optimised
  • Process all ad-hoc couriers or shipments to international partners in a timely manner
  • Any other tasks assigned by Reporting Officer


  • Currently pursuing/enrolled a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related fields
  • Strong interest and understanding in the Consumer Goods industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and in a team-setting
  • Resourceful, able to analyse and think critically
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written / spoken) skills
  • Self-driven, passionate and willingness to learn
