THE ROLE – Trade Marketing Executive

Hegen offers the passionate, adaptable and strategic Trade Marketing Executive the opportunity to contribute in two functions: Developing in Trade Marketing Planning and Implementations as well as exercising Account Management. With strong business acumen and sharp commercial sense, he/she will greatly contribute from the process of strategizing, execution, implementation and reviewing of channel strategies and campaigns. Your collaborative spirit and strategic mindset to strive for a win-win outcome between stakeholders will contribute effectively to Hegen.


Trade Marketing Planning and Implementation

  • Develop marketing activation plans across both offline (and some online) retail partner channels
  • Implement the channel strategies based on the marketing calendar to drive growth of the offline and online retail channels
  • Work with marketing team to propose marketing plan for new product launches, key offline campaigns and events
  • Plan and execute trade activations e.g. baby fairs, retailer pop-ups
  • Conduct store visits to understand brand positioning within the channels and identify ways to improve brand awareness, exposure and sales
  • Develop best-in-class POSMs and/or visual displays, to enhance brand recall among customers
  • Identify new retail channels and opportunities to drive sales and brand awareness
  • Work closely with brand and partnerships team to roll out collaboration campaign mechanics for offline retail channels
  • Track marketing ROI and promotion efficiency to ensure the best outcomes for any trade/marketing support to retail partners
  • Assist in the management of trade marketing budget to ensure efficient spending to meet marketing objectives

Account Management

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key retail partners including department stores, specialty stores and online stores to influence and drive greater marketing support, visibility and sales
  • Identify needs of key partners and assist in strategising negotiation efforts with partners to achieve win-win outcomes
  • Work closely with fulfilment teams to ensure timely delivery of products for day-to-day operations as well as campaign executions
  • Provide regular product trainings to retail partners so that key brand messages and product benefits are communicated clearly through the sales associates to customers
  • Monitor all retail partner activities regularly to ensure consistency and alignment with brand and retail guidelines
  • Collate, analyse and review retail partner sales and other performance metrics regularly to provide recommendations for performance improvement


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field of studies
  • At least 1 year of experience in Trade Marketing, Retail, Startups or FMCG
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • Meticulous and analytical with keen attention to detail
  • Exhibit commercial sense, operations capability and analysing numbers
  • Team Player – ability to embrace change and create possibilities
