THE ROLE â Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all finance operations for Hegen group of companies, encompassing the parent and subsidiary businesses
- Oversee full set of accounts, including monthly closing, financial reporting and management reporting, in accordance to the relevant accounting standards, policies and internal procedures
- Drive continuous process improvements through regular review of the adequacy of processes, streamlining workflows and implementing automation through utilization of IT tools where feasible
- Develop and maintain a strong internal controls framework leading to accurate, timely and reliable financial and internal reporting
- Work closely with auditors to manage the annual audit exercise and rectifying any control issues in a timely and effective manner
- Accountable for statutory, GST, tax and regulatory reporting obligations in Singapore and the US subsidiary's respective operational jurisdiction
- Monitor cashflow positions and ensure adequate cashflow by securing timely payments and collection
- Liaise with the bank and related financial and non-financial institutions on banking facilities and investment tools where needed
- Collaborate with suppliers to address product costing matters, perform benchmarking, calculate and negotiate the best pricing to drive sustainable profitability
- Provide guidance to the Finance Executives by establishing goals and objectives to achieve desired business outcomes and enhance productivity
- Handle the budget preparation and forecasting process in collaboration with various business units and functions
- Support to Head of Departments by furnishing insightful financial analyses to management, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial results to support decision-making
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Accountancy and qualified CA or CPA
- Dynamic and bright personality with a positive attitude
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (Singapore FRS and IFRS) and statutory reporting requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in a finance-related field; Experience in a consumer goods company is a plus
- Strong business acumen and quantitative analytical skills. Able to be hands-on and yet see things from a strategic standpoint at the same time
- Excellent communication, problem solving and leadership skills
- Meticulous, good time management with high level of initiative and integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Prior experience in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and any other reporting tools will be an added advantage
