Hegen recognises and respects the contributions of working mums, especially those at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic. We tip our hats to these supermums who’ve had to make sacrifices, like time with family, to put their patient’s lives above their own.
 
As a token of our utmost appreciation to frontline healthcare workers, we will be conducting a year-long Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative called ‘Hegen Cares’ to gift 1,000 sets of Hegen PCTO™ Express Store Feed Starter Kit (worth $175) to pregnant healthcare workers from selected hospitals, namely those handling COVID-19 cases.
 
Hegen Cares was inspired by our April Mum of The Month, Mabel Zhang, who is a nurse working in the operating theatre of a public hospital. Even in the midst of COVID-19, she devoted herself to her job while heavily pregnant, and worked all the way to the very last day of her third trimester. 
 
“While preparing a gift set for her, we started to wonder about the thousands of other expectant mums putting their lives on the line and braving this pandemic. A feeding set is just a small token of our gratitude for their service. More importantly, we want to spread a little cheer to these amazing women for all their hard work,” said founder and CEO of Hegen, Yvon Bock.
